Orioles Make It a Five Spot, Match Best Start Ever

Your Baltimore Orioles equaled the best start in team history with a 5-3 victory Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Rays.

DSC_0012Manny Machado went 4-for-4 and homered for the third time this season, this one of the two-run variety, Joey Rickard and Jonathan Schoop each delivered an RBI, and Mark Trumbo and Hyun Soo Kim had two hits apiece. Kim’s hits were the first ones of his major league career.

Vance Worley pitched 4.2 innings with Brad Brach, Mychal Givens, Darren O’Day, and Zach Britton making sure the Orioles didn’t break for however much they bent.

Now it’s on to Boston, where the Orioles will face David Price Monday afternoon on Opening Day at Fenway Park.
